Enjoy a delicious lunch before our guided visit to the majestic Alhambra Palace and its breathtaking Generalife gardens, showcasing the beauty of Arabian architecture. In this activity you will have a night out in the city of Granada to the famous neighborhood of Albaicin-Sacromonte, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and where you can attend the Zambra Gitana show. We will make a short walking tour of this picturesque place where we will reach the famous Mirador de San Nicolás from where you can see the Alhambra illuminated at dusk. You will have the opportunity to attend the pure flamenco show in Granada: flamenco stick, dance, singing, guitar playing and a drink.

Upon reaching Algeciras or Tarifa, we'll board a modern ferry to cross the Strait of Gibraltar from Africa to Europe. Our Moroccan adventure begins as we journey through beautiful landscapes. Our first stop is Asilah, a picturesque oceanfront town with a rich history and charming ambiance. We continue our journey to Rabat, the capital city of Morocco. In Rabat, enjoy a delightful buffet dinner and settle into your accommodation for the night.

This morning our adventure starts in Rabat, the Kingdom's capital. Explore the imposing Oudaia Fort, the Hassan Tower with King Mohammed V's mausoleum, and the Andalusian walls. See the Royal Palace and modern neighbourhoods before enjoying some free time.

We depart Rabat for Casablanca. In this modern city, visit the exterior of the immense Hassan II Mosque, the second largest in the Muslim world. 

Leaving Casablanca in the early afternoon we travel to Marrakech. Discover the famous Djemaa El Fna market square with a 40-minute tour in Kalesas (horse-drawn carriages). After checking into your hotel your evening is at leisure

Enjoy a delicious included lunch at the hotel and then you are free for your own exploration or take the opportunity to relax for the afternoon.

BERBER FANTASY (€65 pp)
Unforgettable show in the Palmeraie of Marrakech where we will discover Morocco’s folklore and the traditional attire of the different tribes that inhabit the desert areas in the south. We will listen to their music and they will show us their dances which are the traditional expression to their most important events: births, weddings, harvest festivals... We will also have the opportunity to attend a horse riding show with world-famous Arab horses. We will go to a belly dance performance which is so intimately connected with Arab culture. We will finally enjoy a gunpowder show also called Fantasia. Its origin, among the inhabitants of kasbahs in southern Morocco, is very old and it is still quite present in all their festivities today.

Today, embark on a breathtaking journey from Marrakech to Boulmane Dades, covering a distance of 300 km. As we cross the majestic Atlas mountains, adorned with picturesque villages clinging to the mountainsides. Don't forget to keep your camera handy and bring warm clothes for the mountainous regions.

Along the way, we pause at a charming mountain village before arriving at Ait Benhaddou, a fortified town made of adobe. Designated as a World Heritage Site, this incredible location has served as a backdrop for numerous films. Enjoy a leisurely stroll among the mud houses.

Leaving Ait Benhaddou, we continue to Ouarzazate, a desert city boasting an imposing fortress. We traverse desert plains and valley oases, eventually arriving at Boulmane Dades in the early evening. Relax and indulge in the amenities of our hotel, followed by a delicious dinner.

Please note: In very exceptional cases, it may happen that, due to bad weather, the road through the Atlas is cut off (with snow or flash floods). In this case, you will travel via an alternative route along the coast.

Today's journey promises extraordinary landscapes along the renowned "Valley of the Kasbahs." Prepare yourself with comfortable footwear as you will stop along the way to soak up the scenery with some short walks.

Our first stop is Todra Gorge, a captivating canyon nestled amidst the Atlas Mountains. This picturesque location offers one of the most beautiful landscapes in Morocco. Enjoy some free time explore (please note that access may be restricted during periods of intense rain and river flooding).

We venture further into the desert landscape making a stop at Ksar el Khorbat, an adobe oasis town with impressive fortified villages and gain insights into the lives of desert communities.

Continue to Erfoud where you will have lunch at your hotel followed by time to relax in the gardens or enjoy the pool. 

Our tour guide will propose an optional excursion in all-terrain vehicles across the Merzouga sand dunes, with dinner included on the dunes.

4WD TOUR OF SAHARA DESERT (€55 pp)
Departure from the hotel in4WD to the dune fields of Erg Chebbi, the westernmost point of Sahara desert. Once there, we will be delighted by this wonder of nature. We will witness the change of the sand colour at sunset. We will dine in a bivouac (a desert haima). We will be served the typical food which we will savour
amid the dunes, in a magical atmosphere (drinks not included). Return to the hotel after nightfall.

In Azrú, we make a stop to visit "the house of the cedars," a small museum that provides fascinating insights into the area. Delight in observing the playful colonies of monkeys that inhabit this captivating landscape.

Our next destination is Bhalil, a serene town nestled in the Middle Atlas, where the Berber community thrives. Explore the colourful historic centre and wander through streets. Discover the integration of traditional cave dwellings into the charming houses of this town.

As the day draws to a close, we arrive in Fez, the spiritual heart city of Morocco, a labyrinth of alleys and souks, doors and smells. Before going to the hotel, we will admire the view of the city from the Saadian tombs. Dinner included.

Around mid morning, depart for the port of Tangier for our Ferry back to Spain.  Each traveller must carry their bags and hand luggage, as required by the Spanish national security authorities. ARTISTIC & SEVILLE CATHEDRAL (€25 pp)
We will visit the cathedral, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Then, if you wish, you can climb the famous tower of the cathedral "La Giralda" with its 104 meters where you can enjoy a fabulous view of the city of Seville.

Continuing our journey, we cross the border into Portugal and arrive at the hilltop village of Monsaraz. With its fortified walls, commanding castle, and idyllic white-painted streets adorned with flowerpots, Monsaraz is a sight to behold. Take your time to explore this picturesque village and its charming surroundings.

Leaving Monsaraz behind, we make our way to the remarkable city of Evora, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Prepare to be captivated by the city's Renaissance palaces, whitewashed streets, and awe-inspiring cathedral. One of the highlights of our visit is the Chapel of Bones, a hauntingly beautiful structure constructed using the bones of more than 5000 skeletons. As the sun begins to set, we bid farewell to Evora and make our way to our final destination—Lisbon. Arriving in the evening, we're greeted by the vibrant energy of Portugal's capital city.

If you choose, you can take the "Elevador da Gloria" (not included), a historic tram that will transport you to the Upper district. From there, you can enjoy breathtaking views of Lisbon and the Bairro Alto from the viewpoint of San Pedro.

In this visit, you will enjoy the landscapes of the Tagus estuary, the famous Costa del Sol, a resting place and residence of nobles in the history of Portugal. We will stop at the wonderful city of Sintra, immortalised by Lord Byron, and enjoy its microclimate and its many palaces and summer homes. We will continue to the famous Guincho beach where you will see the westernmost point in Europe, the Cabo da Roca, and we will stop in the beautiful city of Cascais. Afterwards, we will have a brief stop in Estoril with its famous casino. A varied tour with beautiful landscapes overlooking the ocean and the Tagus estuary.

PORTUGUESE FADO IN BARRIO ALTO (€45pp)
To talk about traditional Portuguese music is to talk about FADO. It is the musical genre par excellence in Portugal. It is a musical style born of feeling, coming from the soul of the person who sings. It is one of the most important symbols of Portugal and recognised by UNESCO as intangible heritage of humanity. In addition to the solo voices, stringed instruments and musicians are a fundamental part of Fado. The fado player is usually accompanied by the so-called viola (similar to the Spanish guitar) and the Portuguese guitar (12 strings). FADO will always reflect stories of love and heartbreak... a lot of melancholy and a lot of "SAUDADE". A FADO house is the best place to listen to FADO.

Instalment Schedule:

  1. At the time of booking pay a $99.00 deposit per person.
  2. Pay a 1st installment of $200.00 per person within 28 days.
  3. Pay a 2nd installment of $399.00 per person within 90 days.
  4. You will then be invoiced for final payment 120 days prior to departure.

Fitness Requirements
While the tour itinerary should give you some guidance and overview to the expected requirements, to determine if this tour is right for you we categorise each of our tours in terms of their intensity. These guidelines are to ensure that each tour group is conducted as expected and to ensure the overall satisfaction of all Inspiring Vacations customers.

As a general rule, porterage is not included, therefore at all times you are expected to handle your own luggage where help may not be available.

Lively Tour: A very good level of fitness and mobility is required for you to enjoy all aspects of the itinerary, as this is considered a fast-paced tour. While there is some free time scheduled either in the morning or afternoon, there are many full days of sightseeing with minimal rest and some early starts. You will be required to walk up and down stairs, get on and off the coach and participate in all scheduled sightseeing that may be conducted on uneven ground and terrain. Any physical ailments you may have must be disclosed at the time of booking to determine your suitability. If you have any form of walking aids, other than a walking stick or hiking poles, then this tour is not suitable.

Tipping
A friendly reminder that tipping is not included in your package. Tipping is not compulsory on your trip, but they can make a big difference to locals employed in the tourism industry and is a welcome way to show your appreciation. If you feel that your guide/s and driver have done an impeccable job, you can choose to give a gratuity, but this is entirely your decision.
