A full-day safari in Kruger National Park is a thrilling adventure, offering an immersive experience in one of Africa’s premier wildlife reserves. The day begins early, with your guide picking you up before sunrise to catch the animals at their most active. A boxed breakfast will be provided. Bring a warm jacket as even in the summer months the mornings can be quite cool as you travel in an open safari vehicle.
In the cool morning hours, you may see herds of elephants, zebras, and impalas, along with predators like lions, leopards, and wild dogs if you're lucky. Birdwatchers will also enjoy spotting a variety of species.
Around midday, you’ll stop for lunch at one of the park’s rest camps.
In the afternoon, continue on your game drive. Often you will find the animals lazing under a tree, escaping from the warmer afternoon sun. Waterholes offer an opportunity to witness the wildlife coming to drink, making for excellent photo opportunities.

A more leisurely start today. At approximately 9am we will drive back to Maun in time for our flight to Kasane in the north of Botswana. Your flight time is approximately 45 minutes.
On arrival in Kasane it is a short drive to our hotel, located on the Chobe River.
This afternoon head out on a sunset river safari. The Chobe River offers a unique opportunity to see wildlife from a different angle as the animals come to drink from the river. In particular, large herds of elephants can often be seen providing perfect photographic opportunities.
Your 3 hour river safari includes light snacks and local beverages allowing you to raise a toast as the sun sets on another magical day.
Return to your hotel for dinner.

This morning head out on a 3 hour game drive. Chobe National Park is renowned for its large elephant population and diverse wildlife. Spanning grasslands, woodlands, and riverfronts, the park offers exceptional safari experiences with abundant wildlife, including lions, buffalo, hippos, and crocodiles. Its varied landscapes make it a prime destination for game viewing and photography.
The river is the highlight feature of Chobe National Park so following your game drive you will take another extended river safari. Today's cruise will allow more time to view the wildlife and soak up the tranquility only a river can offer. Onboard enjoy a BBQ lunch including beverages. Your cruise will be approximately 6 hours in duration, allowing plenty of time to relax. Keep an eye out for elephants, hippos, crocodiles and more as they escape the afternoon heat with a dip in the cooling waters.
After an eventful day, return to your hotel in time for dinner and a good night's rest.

An early start today leaving the hotel at approximately 7am. We bid farewell to Botswana and enter Zimbabwe at the Kazungula border crossing. From here we drive for approximately 2 ½ hours to Victoria Falls where we will stop to stretch our legs and take a coffee break. We then continue on to Hwange National Park.
Along the way visit the Painted Dog Conservation Centre to gain a deeper understanding of the vital work being done to protect one of Africa’s most endangered predators. Meet with a conservationist who will share insights into the challenges painted dogs (also known as African wild dogs) face in and around Hwange National Park, including threats from poaching and habitat loss. Learn about the organization’s rehabilitation efforts, which aim to nurse injured dogs back to health and release them into the wild. The project also focuses on community education, working with local children and families to foster awareness and encourage sustainable practices that reduce the impact of poaching. This visit offers a unique opportunity to see conservation in action and to learn how dedicated efforts are helping to secure a future for these remarkable animals in the wild.

Later this afternoon head out on a game drive. Hwange National Park offers an unforgettable experience, where visitors witness diverse wildlife, from elephants and lions to buffalo and antelope. With vast, open savannas and dense forests, the park provides stunning landscapes while skilled guides share insights into animal behavior and conservation efforts.

Pause at waterholes to watch animals gather and enjoy a midday break with lunch surrounded by nature. As the day winds down, take in stunning late afternoon views and perhaps catch glimpses of nocturnal creatures. A full day in Hwange offers unforgettable wildlife encounters and breathtaking scenery.

This afternoon head out onto the mighty Zambezi River. A sunset cruise is the perfect way to end the day. Relax as the sun sets but keep an eye on the water for sightings of hippos, elephants and crocodiles. Enjoy an abundance of delicious hors d’oeuvres throughout the cruise, as well as a selection of cocktails, premium drinks, beers, juice, water, and soft drinks. The cruise duration is approximately 2 ½ hours. Start time varies according to the season and will be advised locally.

After breakfast, meet your guide at 8am to experience the awe-inspiring beauty of Victoria Falls on a guided tour. Known as "The Smoke That Thunders," this UNESCO World Heritage Site is one of the largest waterfalls in the world.
Walk through lush rainforest trails with your guide, who will share fascinating insights into the falls' geology, history, and local legends. Marvel at the breathtaking views from multiple vantage points and feel the mist on your face as the roaring waters plunge into the gorge below.
Following your tour the remainder of the day is at leisure to relax or shop for souvenirs in the local markets. If you would like an even more impressive view of the falls why not book an optional helicopter ride.

Travelling in Africa
Travelling by road in Africa can include some long travel days. Road quality can vary from comfortable sealed roads to rough & bumpy dirt roads. Distances covered can be in excess of 300 km (180 miles) per day or more than 6 hours journey time, subject to the road conditions.
Luggage
Due to limited storage capacity of your safari vehicle and aircraft, we ask that luggage is kept to a manageable amount in a small soft bag – 15kg (33 pounds) max. Hard suitcases are not suitable. It is also recommended to bring a day pack for use throughout the day.
Fitness Requirements
While the tour itinerary should give you some guidance and overview to the expected requirements, to determine if this tour is right for you we categorise each of our tours in terms of their intensity. These guidelines are to ensure that each tour group is conducted as expected and to ensure the overall satisfaction of all Inspiring Vacations customers.
