As well as being a frequent traveller, Ujjwal has been in the tourism industry for 25 years, working for a leading tour operator in India in customer service, product development and procurement. His passion for travel started in high school when Ujjwal attended adventure camps for skiing, mountaineering and water sports. It was no surprise then, that he decided to study tourism at postgraduate level. While he has many happy memories travelling both within India and abroad, Ujjwal’s most memorable trip was his first visit to Japan, “the culture in Japan impressed me the most and a visit to Hiroshima was very moving; my respect for Japanese cultures grew tenfold.”
UjjwaI believes that travel is the best educator: it widens our horizons and inspires. “There is no substitute for a planned holiday if you crave learning about different cultures and civilisations.”
