Welcome to Fiji! Known for its palm-lined beaches, coral reefs with clear lagoons, Fiji is an archipelago of more than 300 islands.
Once you arrive at Nadi Airport, the main transport hub on Fiji's main island, and be transferred to Denarau. This evening will be at leisure before we set off tomorrow and board the MS Caledonian Sky and embark on our beautiful Southern Lau Fiji Islands adventure.

Once you board MS Caledonian Sky, you’ll enjoy a light lunch as we cruise to Tivua Island, a small coral cay located in the northern part of the Mamanuca group of islands.
Spend the afternoon exploring the coral gardens, coral planting and clam rearing cages or opt for a scenic walk on the island before enjoying your first South Pacific sunset back onboard.
Settle into a sunset cocktail and enjoy a welcome dinner on board as you are introduced to the crew.
After enjoying breakfast on board (you can choose to dine al fresco on the deck as you watch the beautiful views pass by or in the ship's dining room for a more formal setting), prepare for your guided walking tour through the jungle. Discover a fascinating piece of Pacific history as you explore the ruins of a former leper colony. Snorkel over giant clam gardens at the island’s turtle sanctuary.
Back onshore, you’ll have the opportunity to join the island’s church service and meet the local villagers and children and enjoy their traditional song and dance.
We’ll head back on board to enjoy the sunset and dinner.
Today you’ll explore one of Fiji’s most beautiful marine parks. The majestic island of Vatu Vara rises out of the Pacific with a 305 metre-high summit, giving it the nickname Hat Island. The volcanic and limestone island is just 3-km in diameter and home to both a bird sanctuary and a national park.
Vatu Vara is also home to the world’s largest land arthropods, the coconut crab.
Today we’ll discover why Wailagilala is a nationally significant island, treasured by locals. Literally translating to ‘no water or rain’, Wailagilala is famous for crystal clear waters and many say that the tiny atoll is the only true atoll in Fiji.
Dominated by a 1909 cast iron lighthouse (now abandoned and reaching some 29 metres in height), the sand island is surrounded by spectacular lagoons and coral reefs, and there’s a seabird nesting colony. Feel the warm, white sand between your toes as you explore this paradise and make memories.
Today’s visit to Qila QIla & Mago Island is pure bliss. You’ll see hot springs and get the chance to swim in crystal clear waters among a labyrinth of mushroom-shaped rock formations and islets. Look out for Fijian free-tailed bats as you explore and swim through the easily accessible caves.
Back onboard, enjoy lunch as we head towards Mago Island. The reefs around Mago Island are diverse and pristine, make sure it goes on your must-dive list. You’ll have the opportunity to visit the village of Namalata.
Today, we’ll discover interesting historical sites and the chiefly village on a guided tour of Lakeba. Key figures in Fiji’s political history are buried here, including Ratu Sukuna and Ratu Mara, as are the remains of the Tongan king, Ma’afu.
Next, we’ll follow the path of British explorer Captain William Bligh who travelled in his 12-foot boat from Tonga through Lomaiviti to Vatu-I-ra.
Today we’ll travel to Vatu-i-ra Island to bask in the beauty of the island’s conservation park, as well as explore the surrounding barrier reef. The island is a haven for seabirds, earning it the nickname ‘Bird Island.’
Dolphins, whales, sea turtles and more than 100 species of fish populate the diverse marine ecosystems surrounding the island. We’ll then visit the northern coast of Fiji’s largest island Viti Levu for swimming, snorkelling, beachcombing or head off for a hike.
After lunch we’ll go ashore before beginning our homeward journey. Don your favourite island attire and join our Pacific Island Night Finale,
Enjoy a final breakfast on board as we return to Lautoka for disembarkation at 9am and transfer back to Denarau for one night.
The crew will bid you farewell in song, including the traditional Fijian isa lei as they say sota tale or “see you again.”
Once you have checked into the hotel, the rest of the day can be spent as you wish. Lautoka is the second largest city in Fiji. Why not visit Lautoka Market and wander the city, before departing tomorrow.

The flight portal will allow you to search for all available airfares to your destination. The function works like most general flight search engines allowing you to select your preferred airline, book different cabin classes (eg. Business class) and view flight durations and transit times to your destination.

Some of our packages will include airport transfers in either one or both directions when arriving or departing from your destination. Access to this portal is available through your Traveller Hub once your booking is confirmed. Transfers are readily available and do not need to be booked until your final hotel list has been confirmed. If you book pre and/or post-tour accommodation on your own arrangement, and the tour includes transfers, note that these will be forfeited. The transfers are only provided in line with the tour dates and pre and/or post-tour accommodation purchased through Inspiring Vacations when available.
