Upon arrival at Muscat International Airport, you'll receive a warm welcome and be transferred to your luxurious 5-star hotel situated in the heart of this enchanting city.
Later this afternoon, meet your tour leader and fellow travellers for a guided exploration of Muscat. Begin your journey at Bait Al Zubair Museum, where you'll gain insight into Oman's fascinating history and development. Traverse the scenic Corniche, pausing at the bustling Fish Market and lively Muttrah Souq. Don't miss the opportunity to capture a snapshot of the magnificent Al Alam Palace, the majestic residence of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos, flanked by the ancient Portuguese forts, Mirani and Jalali. At 8:00am, embark on a visit to the majestic Grand Mosque, followed by a journey to Sur. Depart for Ras Al Jinz along the scenic and rugged coastal route, offering stunning vistas of the azure waters of the Gulf of Oman against pristine white beaches.
En route, pass through the charming fishing village of Quriyat, where you may have the opportunity to spot flamingos and eagles at an inland stream. Continue to the Bimah sinkhole, a mesmerising limestone crater with crystal-clear blue-green water at its base. On clear, sunny days, keep an eye out for sharks in the deep blue waters or graceful gazelles sprinting across the landscape as you drive along the coast.
As the journey progresses, the road winds through mountainous terrain, providing captivating views of the ocean along the way. Upon arrival in Sur, visit the fish jetty and dhow factory before checking into your hotel.
In the evening, embark on a drive to the Ras Al Jinz Scientific Centre, where trained guides will accompany you to the beach to witness the fascinating sight of turtles coming ashore to nest in the sands. Return to Sur where the rest of the evening is at leisure.

At 8:00am, we set off to explore Wadi Bani Khalid, a picturesque valley dotted with charming villages nestled among the mountains. The wadi boasts crystal-clear, deep blue waters, offering a refreshing escape. It's recommended to wear light, comfortable clothing and sturdy walking shoes for this excursion. After immersing ourselves in the beauty of Wadi Bani Khalid, we continue our journey to Wahiba Sands.
Wahiba Sands is a vast expanse of undulating red and white sand dunes, reaching heights of up to 200 metres. These ever-shifting dunes create mesmerising patterns, making it a paradise for photographers. Experience the thrill of a roller-coaster ride as our skilled drivers navigate the dunes. The desert is also inhabited by the traditional Bedouin tribe, known for their warm hospitality and deep knowledge of the sands. We'll have the opportunity to visit a Bedouin family in their traditional dwelling, gaining insight into their way of life.
Today, an Inspiring Stay awaits with an overnight stay at a luxury desert camp nestled within the enchanting surroundings of Wahiba Sands.

At 8:00am, we depart Wahiba Sands and head towards Birkat al Mouz. Along the way, we make a stop at the picturesque village of Birkat Al Mauz, nestled at the foothills of Jebel Akhdar (Green Mountains). Take a leisurely stroll through its oasis and lush date plantations, soaking in the serene surroundings.
Next, we continue to Nizwa, the capital of the interior and the birthplace of Islam in the Sultanate of Oman. Nizwa is renowned for its iconic Round Tower Fort, constructed in the 17th century, and its vibrant Souq, famous for its Friday cattle auction and exquisite handcrafted "Khanjars" (daggers) and silver jewellery.
Enjoy an overnight stay in Nizwa, immersing yourself in the rich history and culture of this town.
At 8:00am, we set off for the date plantations in Al Hamra village. We'll explore the charming stone house village of Misfah, known for its picturesque mountain setting and well-preserved stone dwellings.
Next, we journey to Jabrin, home to one of Oman's most remarkable castles, dating back to the late 17th century. This castle served as a centre of Omani scholarship and boasts exquisite examples of traditional ceiling paintings and intricate wood carvings.
Following our visit to Jabreen Castle, we continue to Bahla Fort, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site for its historical significance.
After a day of exploration, we return to Nizwa for an overnight stay, immersing ourselves further in the rich cultural heritage of Oman.
At 8:00am, we begin our journey back to Muscat, embarking on a scenic drive through captivating landscapes, including the breathtaking Wadi Bani Awf and the picturesque village of Bilad Sayt. As we wind our way through rugged terrain and verdant valleys, we'll be treated to stunning views of Oman's natural beauty. Along the way, we'll pause to soak in the tranquillity of the surroundings and perhaps catch glimpses of local wildlife. After a day of exploration, we return to Muscat for an overnight stay at our hotel, where we can unwind and reflect on the day's adventures. Bid farewell to your local guide as your Oman portion of the tours comes to an end this evening.

Your journey through Oman and Dubai comes to an end this morning after breakfast. You will be met in the hotel lobby and transferred to Dubai International Airport (DXB) in accordance with your departure flight.

It is the traveller's responsibility to ensure they have a valid passport. The passport must be valid for a minimum of six months from the intended date of return. Visas may be required for your destination. For further visa information, click here.
Some of our packages will include airport transfers in either one or both directions when arriving or departing from your destination. To know if transfers are included please view the ‘inclusions’ section of your selected package. If airport transfers are stated, transfers will be included as advised.
If transfers are not included, we also offer the option to book your airport transfers using our online portal. Access to this portal is available through your Traveller Hub once your booking is confirmed. Transfers are readily available and do not need to be booked until your final hotel list has been confirmed. Once you have made a transfer booking, please refer to your confirmation email for all transfer details including a local contact number for the transfer company.
If you book pre and/or post-tour accommodation on your own arrangement, and the tour includes transfers, note that these will be forfeited. The transfers are only provided in line with the tour dates and pre and/or post-tour accommodation purchased through Inspiring Vacations when available.
All participants must be in good physical condition to fully engage in this journey. For the safety and welfare of yourself and fellow travellers, if you are feeling unwell prior to departure, we advise staying home and contacting us to arrange alternate plans.

It is advisable to consult your physician for current medical travel advisories and any required vaccinations before embarking. We recommend carrying a first aid kit and any necessary medications in their original packaging, as they may not be readily available during travel. For those carrying medication, it's essential to check your government's foreign travel guidelines for local restrictions or regulations.
Fitness Requirements
While the tour itinerary should give you some guidance and overview to the expected requirements, to determine if this tour is right for you we categorise each of our tours in terms of their intensity. These guidelines are to ensure that each tour group is conducted as expected and to ensure the overall satisfaction of all Inspiring Vacations customers.
As a general rule, porterage is not included, therefore at all times you are expected to handle your own luggage where help may not be available.

Moderate Tour: A good level of fitness and mobility is required, as this tour includes a moderate level of physical activity and is considered a medium-fast paced tour. You should be able to walk up and down stairs, get on and off the coach and able to walk reasonable distances of approximately 2 kilometres per day or more with ease. Any physical ailments you may have must be disclosed at the time of booking to determine your suitability. If you have any form of walking aids, other than a walking stick or hiking poles, then this tour is not suitable.
Tipping
A friendly reminder that tipping is not included in your package. While tipping is not customary, it's of great significance to the people who will take care of you during your travels, inspires excellent service, and is an entrenched feature of the tourism industry across many destinations.
