After breakfast, set off to discover the charms of both sides of Malaysia’s capital, the old and the new of Kuala Lumpur on a half day city tour. Visit Kings Place, The National Monument, Independence Square, Beryl’s Chocolate Factory and the magnificent Petronas Twin Towers. After lunch, the afternoon is yours to spend at leisure by the pool of your hotel or explore more of this vibrant city.
This morning, drive to the historical city Malacca. Your tour of Malacca begins with a visit to St Peter’s Church, built in 1710 and the oldest Christian Church still in use in Malaysia. The next stop is Bukit China or Chinese Hill, the largest 17th-century Chinese cemetery outside China. Stop to view Perigi Raja (Sultan’s well). During the Portuguese occupation, the well was the cities main source of drinking water. Continue to “Porta de Santiago” and the ruins of St Paul’s Church, lined by 17th-century Dutch tombstones. Next is ‘Red Square’, a salmon pink Dutch administrative building which today houses the Melaka Museum and other government offices.
Prior to a lunch stop at a delicious local restaurant, visit Christ Church and then the Abode of the Green Merciful Temple Clouds or the Cheng HoonTeng Temple, home to three major doctrines of local Chinese belief; Taoism, Buddhism and Confucianism.
Take a stroll along Melaka’s Jonker Street, before boarding a traditional trishaw and proceed to the river for a historical sightseeing cruise. After a busy day of sightseeing, return to your hotel.
Today is an early start for the approximately 5-hour journey north into the Cameron Highlands. On arrival, take a half-day city tour and enjoy breathtaking views of the natural scenery. You might pick strawberries, roam around tea plantations and bee farms or go inside an authentic English cottage. You can breathe in the fresh air in the hill station or opt to take a walk around the cool highland environment.
After breakfast, we make our way to Penang.
On arrival, check into your hotel and spend your free time at leisure to relax and overnight at the hotel.
After breakfast, enjoy a half day tour around Penang Island. Visit the Reclining Buddha and Burmese Temple, UNESCO Heritage listed Georgetown, Little India, Chinatown, the Goddess of Mercy Temple and Srimariamman Temple, Anglican Protestant Church, Kapitankling India Muslim Mosque and Fort Corwallis. Later continue for a Malaysian treat at a Penang white coffee & tea tasting experience and explore the local area on a trishaw ride.
Enjoy a free day at leisure to explore further or relax by the pool. Maybe a spot of shopping is in order in this cosmopolitan town.
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the ferry terminal for the journey to Langkawi. The ferry takes just under three hours.

Booking Process
Please note that flights for this package are arranged on our behalf by our local travel partner. The best available flights will be booked for you and will be sent along with your tour documentation approximately 2 weeks before departure.
Can I extend my stay pre- and/or post-tour?
No, due to the nature of this package and that airfares are arranged by our travel partner, flights will be booked as per the package and an extension of stay is not permitted.
Can I request a specific airline?
Requests to fly with a specific airline or on a specific flight schedule cannot be taken into consideration, with the best available option being booked.
Conditions of flights for this package:
Seat Selection & Frequent Flyer Points
Inspiring Vacations and our partners do not arrange seat selection. It is important to highlight that some airlines do not allow pre-selected seats or they may charge a fee to do so. We strongly suggest you contact the airline directly with seating allocation requirements and or arrive at the airport earlier to arrange your seating. While we do not add frequent flyer member details to bookings, you can do this directly with the airline once you have your flight information.
Online check-in
Some airlines may not permit online check-in where flights have been booked by a travel company. Where unavailable to do so online, you will be required to check-in at the airport. Inspiring Vacations cannot check-in online on behalf of our customers.
COVID-19
Due to COVID there maybe disruptions to standard operating schedules of particular components of this itinerary. Should a component be effected a substitute will be confirmed prior to departure.
Fitness Requirements
While the tour itinerary should give you some guidance and overview to the expected requirements, to determine if this tour is right for you we categorise each of our tours in terms of their intensity. These guidelines are to ensure that each tour group is conducted as expected and to ensure the overall satisfaction of all Inspiring Vacations customers.
As a general rule, porterage is not included, therefore at all times you are expected to handle your own luggage where help may not be available.
This particular tour is categorised as a “1”.
1 – Leisurely Pace: This itinerary will be conducted at a relaxed pace. You will typically spend several nights at one location which means less time spent packing and unpacking, and more sightseeing. You will be required to move about unassisted, including getting on and off vehicles, walking up and down stairs and handling your own luggage.
Tipping
A friendly reminder that tipping is not included in your package. Tipping is not compulsory on your trip, but can make a big difference to locals employed in the tourism industry. If you feel that your guide and driver have done an impeccable job, you can choose to give a gratuity, but this is entirely your decision.
For the services of your guide, it is suggested that you budget for AUD$6-$10 per person, per day. Tipping of your driver is also appreciated and we would suggest AUD$3-$5 per person, per day.
As this particular tour does not collect a ‘kitty’, it is entirely up to the individual whether or not you would like to tip locals for the services of things like taxis or when dining at restaurants. In these cases, we suggest you allow 10-20% of the value of the service as a tip. Again, it is not compulsory and entirely up to the individual.
Accommodation
The accommodation listed is subject to change. Any changes will be of an equal or higher standard. Bedding configurations (double or twin) are requests only. All efforts will be made to meet your preferences, however any changes are beyond our control.
Single Supplement
Single supplement is $988.00 per person, in addition to the twin-share price.
