The Cultural Village Tour is an interactive and educational experience where you can immerse yourself in the powerful story of the Cook Islands Maori culture as told by knowledgeable guides - learn about the Cook Islands history, traditional medicines, ancestral navigational techniques, legends and more while local artisans and craftspeople demonstrate how to weave, carve and prepare dance costumes. You’ll visit a Marae, a sacred place where High Chiefs of the village meet for ceremonies and any issues surrounding the village and its people. The village tour is reflective of a proud race of Polynesians who graciously share their culture and tradition with you.

 

The only Over Water Island Show on Rarotonga delivering an electric authentic cultural performance like no other. Be blown away by the Spectacular Over Water Show while Rarotonga’s finest dancers and musicians perform by flaming torchlight on floating and fixed stages of the waterfall garden. The night showcases a beautiful legend story, the Legend of Tongaiti, a warrior who sets sail on a big Vaka in search of these islands. After sailing around the islands for many days and being fronted with hostile & unfriendly natives, in desperation, Tongaiti called upon his beautiful daughter to dance for the Chief of Tumu-Te-Varovaro, hoping her beauty would soften his heart and allow them to set foot on the land. Spellbound and captivated by her beauty, the Chief fell in love with this beautiful maiden and welcomed Tongaiti and his family onto his island and celebrated this with feast and dance. This settlement of Polynesian people is known today as “Tangata Enua”. During the show you’ll enjoy a delicious Island/Western Fusion Buffet.

Garden Studio

Our Garden Studio bungalows are situated around the swimming pool, in amongst flowering foliage. The interiors have tiled floors, bamboo-ply ceilings, and modern furnishings. These bungalows cater to a maximum of 3 people and children under age 6 stay for free. Bungalow amenities include: full kitchen (fridge/freezer, gas cooktop, microwave, kettle, toaster, crockery/cutlery), bathroom with shower, premium superking bed, airconditioning, ceiling fan, flatscreen TV, stereo/mp3 player, telephone, room safe, and private patio.

Two Bedroom Bungalow

Our garden Two Bedroom houses have their own private yards, covered patios, and BBQs. These houses are perfect for guests that want the space and privacy of a house but with the convenience of being onsite at a resort. The house amenities include: bedrooms (2), one bathroom with shower, full kitchen (fridge/freezer, gas cooktop, gas oven, microwave, kettle, toaster, crockery/cutlery), air conditioned bedrooms, flatscreen TV, ceiling fans, stereo/mp3 player, telephone, room safe, BBQ, and private yard.

Essential Information

Deposit & Payments

  • Book now and secure your package with only a AUD $1000.00 deposit per person.
  • Pay a 2nd instalment of AUD $1000.00 per person within 28 days for the airfares to be ticketed.
  • You will then be invoiced for the final payment 90 days prior to departure.

Booking Process

  • Select the purple 'Reserve Your Seat' tab to begin your booking (you must 'Sign Up' first by entering your email and creating a password)
  • Then select the purple 'Book now' tab of the tour you have selected
  • Select your Departure Date, Departure City, Number of Passengers, Room Configuration, any Upgrade Options, and enter any Special Requests
  • Click the purple ‘Proceed to Secure Checkout' tab
  • Enter your credit card or PayPal details to secure your deposit/payment. You may also pay via BPAY (not available within 70 days of departure)
  • Once your order is complete, you will be prompted to complete a Booking Form so that we can fulfil your booking
  • Your position on the tour will be confirmed within 48 hours of completing your order. If your place cannot be confirmed, a full refund of the deposit will occur.
  • You will then be allocated and contacted by one of our Dedicated Support Agent's (within 48 hours) who will support you right up until you return from your journey

  • Airlines used will include Air New Zealand, Qantas or similar
  • Flights may not be direct and may include a maximum of two connections
  • Airline selection requests - Not available
  • All tickets will include 20 kilos checked baggage per person, along with 7 kilos of hand luggage.
  • Once ticketed, flights are non-refundable; any changes will be subject to the airline rules and change fees
  • Full names as per passport (including all middle names) are required
  • Any airline schedule changes or cancellations are beyond our control
  • Any airline 'extras' such as pre-allocated seating are at your own arrangement (additional charges apply)
